How does a boat lift work? Let's try it out. How did a family live and work on board a motorised cargo ship? We go into the hold of the MV "Franz-Christian".
The ship's hoist offers people with visual impairments many ways to maximise their range of perception. Touching and feeling materials with the hands (diving suit), feeling movement with the body (movement of the ship), walking distances (length of the trough), hearing noises and voices (ambient sound in the ship's hull / in the machine hall), in conjunction with explanations, allow visitors to combine a variety of intense impressions into a vivid image of the ship's hoist.
An exciting guided tour of the lower and upper water of the Henrichenburg boat lift awaits the participants. Afterwards there is the possibility of a round trip on the passenger ship "Henrichenburg" (additional costs).
